GDPR compliance #1

It must be ensured that pan-learning.org is GDPR compliant. To this end ELI has developed a bespoke Data Protention Information document that users who sign up (and existing users) need to acknowledge that they have read and agree to. The following sub-tasks are therefore defined:

As the document will be published there are a few typos that could be corrected (nothing that would change any meaning).

I believe that the platform conforms to the document EXCEPT that admins as well as designated teacher(s) of courses have access to track the participants’ progress within the course including attempts and grades in quizzes.

The document has been integrated "as is" at https://sim.e-neutrons.esss.dk/signup - please let me know when / if there is an updated version.

I have also added a link on the home page and dashboard in moodle. This is easier and more visible than in the footer. However it is not visible when in a course.

Also, on the GDPR agreement topic. The existing users should also acknowledge that they have read the document.

GDPR document has been converted to LaTeX and can be found here. No edits have been made. The text is an exact copy of the word document. The pdf is the current compilation of the LaTeX document.

I have made some edits to the LaTeX file and created a pull request here.

I have uploaded to document to https://pan-learning.org/moodle/customfiles/DataProtectionInformation.pdf such that it has a PaN-learning based url rather than e-neutrons. If there are any updates to the document I will re-upload it there. @willend Could you change the link on the sign up page to this one?

GDPR will information like a pop-up prompt box displaying the GDPR information with the option to acknowledge. We will look into moodle tools to see if this kind of pop-up prompt boxes is available in Moodle.

I found the relevant setting in Moodle, under https://pan-learning.org/moodle/admin/settings.php?section=policysettings

I can't login... but that solves the GDPR problem. The issue can be closed.

@moving-northwards can you please check that it works:

  1. 1st time you log in as non-admin user, you are enforced to acknowledge that you have read the gdpr doc
  2. 2nd and 3rd time you can just login as usual as a non-admin user

@teodorivanoaica just saw there is in fact a small PR (mainly spelling etc. from our native English-speaker @moving-northwards) above. - But nothing that changes the fundamental meaning of the GDPR doc. Can you have a look? :)
