• modal or pop-up that animates onto screen when player achieves a new unlock
• simple slide in or fade in
• use game-themed graphics, colours, fonts to maintain style of game

Engaging visuals

• Add thematic illustrations related to unlockable content
• consider short fanfare or sound effect to accompany visual notification

Informative content

• clearly display what has been unlocked with brief description. if possible, a small image of item or level
• offer an option to "equip now" or "go there" if unlockable is immediately usable

Animation libraries

• E.g. flutter_animation_progress_bar or animated_text_kit

Persistence and dismissal

• Ensure notification persists on screen long enough for player to recognise achievement but also allow for manual dismissal by tapping or swiping away
