Combie diagram filter with pandoc-crossref

is pandoc-corssref supported with diagram filter? E.g. After diagram filter generated the image, is it possible to add the fig ref?

I never tried, but I assume it should work.

Which attribute I should use? I tried fig-id / label, but seems they didn’t work.
