this was proposed a long time ago but never really took off (not sure why), with this there are more use-cases for LV-power too :+1:
Should mod be modified a bit to use existing clay / brick recipes, crafting is very similar and blocks are very similar? Forge mod could probably optionally use existing bricks when available instead of reinventing very similar blocks.
corollary: performing electrolysis on molton ore (Bauxite for Aluminum and NaCl for Sodium) is how some highly reactive metals are refined at scale. However, I cannot think of a use for those in pandorabox (unless we can have light-weight jet aircraft).

So we need something like this one https://github.com/pandorabox-io/pandorabox.io/issues/668 right? Multiple uses for a lot of things but for some things that also means a lot more work. To list few more things that could somehow use those would be https://github.com/pandorabox-io/in-game/issues/124 and https://github.com/pandorabox-io/in-game/issues/118

Ruggila — 01/13/2021 on another server I used to play before minetest there was a mod (forgot the name) that implemented some kind of blast furnace. You build a structure with special stones, filled the hole with gravel, and put an LV electrode on top of it and turned it on. That turned all the gravel into lava-like blocks. When you turned of the LV power, it cooled down and you got junk material on top. But on the top you had steel, copper and gold blocks. So basically with manual work you could convert cobble to 3 metals
