Pangeo team, i have noticed two interesting developments coming from work of intel labs (where Stavros TileDB was born as well) a. https://github.com/IntelLabs/hpat b. https://github.com/IntelLabs/numba - this last seems to be collaboration with Continuum. This work is bundled into intel distribution for python https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-optimized-packages-for-the-intel-distribution-for-python
is anybody looking into these? they look like a good candidates to complement storage and computing benchmarks
