Icon moves to the right when more icons are added instead of staying put in the left

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. having battery indicator working
2. opening any additional apps that add icons to the status bar (on top)

What is the expected outcome? What happens instead?
expected outcome - new icons go to the right of the battery indicator icon (the 
battery indicator icon stays put on the top left corner).
what happens instead - the new icons go to the left of the battery indicator 
icon (which is shifted to the right).
