Assign a specific series of subtitle releases to a season or show #508

So here's the situation I run into...

I download an entire season of a show, but it had an odd release name that is not currently covered by released subtitles, so Subzero doesn't download any subs since none match (in one instance a 576p web-dl release, in another a 480p web-dl release). As it currently stands, I have to browse in Subzero to each episode of the season I just downloaded, List subtitles, choose one, open a new tab and play the episode to see if that sub matches up, if not try another sub download, see if that matches up, etc etc for 25 episodes or whatever of a season.

Now, what I've found is that a lot of times I can find a particular series of sub releases (let's call them "Hoodsubs") that match up with my odd release names in my video titles, and every one under that name will work for every episode, but I still have to go into every single episode within Subzero and select those Hoodsubs, which takes forever.

It'd be nice if I could search for subs for one episode, and when I find that Hoodsubs works for that episode, then I could tell Subzero to go ahead and use any subs it finds with "Hoodsubs" in the release name for the rest of the season (or show), and Subzero would automatically go ahead and download the subs for the rest of the episodes, selecting the ones with "Hoodsubs" in the release name.

Thanks for a great plugin!

Why not rename your media, so it works everytime, and also allows SZ to find better subs, as they are released?

I guess that is an option....I was trying to keep the original file names for the future in case something happened and I needed to know what the original file names were...

There are several options here, you could:

I could also add a feature for this, but with how the GUI stuff currently works, it'll be a hard thing to do.

This is not so far off a real feature. I could expose several parts of a currently selected subtitle and add a search for subtitles with the same __ATTRIBUTE__ for this season/show or search for subtitles with the same __ATTRIBUTE__ for the previous episode-option to the menu.

Still, this is very hard to do and will most likely be implemented when I have the time to do so.
