Safari 4.04 Update causes KP #162

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install SL 10.6.2 on Dell Mini 10v, BT, 2GB, WWAN, BIOS A06 by connecting HD
via USB Bridge,
Run NBI 0.8.2 (no DSDT), then RC4 (no DSDT) then put HD back in 10v, rund NBI
0.8.2 again
generate DSDT then RC4 again.
2. Run Software Update - Install HP Drivers and Server Admin Tools works fine,
but Safari 4.04.
required restart - caused KP - did NOT install Safari 4.04.
3. Downloaded Safari 4.04 as independent download, re-run NBI 0.8.3RC4, then
executed Safari
4.04. Installer - KP during install.

What netbook are you using this on?
Dell Mini 10v 2GB, 160 HD, BT, WWAN, BIOS A06

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normal Update - Got KP

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SL 10.6.2 - NBI 0.8.3RC4

Please provide any additional information below.
I still get occasional KP, although I installed OSX 10.6.1 first, then NBI
0.8.2 to generate DSDT
file, then NBI 0.8.3RC4, then took out HD, updated via Intel Mac on USB Bridge
to SL 10.6.2 Rerun
NBI 0.8.3RC4 all worked more or less fine.
Now I seem to get random KP about every 30-40 mins also in idle mode ! Could be
that all the
above is 'bad luck' or related to something else ?

Cheers M.

All other features seem to work - although Safari Update to 4.04. now also
caused KP !

confirmed 10V running safari 4.04 on 10.6.1 have experienced no KP issues

Suspect 10.6.2 issue.

Hi, thanks, yes you are right all this might be due to the installation of
Cisco VPN
Client software, which seems to be incompatible (have KP after installation with
Cisco VPN Client, but no longer on a clean install). But now I am only running
Safari
4.04 on OSX 10.6.1 have not dared to update to 10.6.2 yet. Will report if things
continue to work later in the week.

Best,

M.
