Look at ALTO path vector definition #26

At IETF 106, Sabine Randriamasy mentioned ALTO and its "path vector" definition.

We should see if this is already in our wiki of Related Work. If not, we should add it. Then, we should consider whether there's anything in there we want to include or reference in our draft. I think Brian already summarized the distinction between our work and ALTO nicely: We talk about abstract categories, the IETF defines a concrete representation and wire encoding.

I read some ALTO RFCs and drafts and I added some of them to our wiki page.

It seems to me like their definitions are compatible with ours. For example, an ALTO abstract network element could be an example of a node. Also, their performance cost metrics are basically path properties related to performance.

We can consider adding one or multiple references to these drafts as examples.

Could add reference to draft-ietf-alto-performance-metrics in some properties. Could add reference to draft-ietf-alto-path-vector as an example of an "implementation" of a similar terminology as we use.
