Basically title. When I create a new site, I got pre-installed in my themes folder a bunch of default themes that I have to either update or delete.

I wonder how much server space this is costing you guys, because I don't think all developers delete them (imagine how many unused files there must be on sites and backups).

And I think that having unused and outdated themes on your site is not a good practice from a security point of view either.

Regrettably, removing or updating old themes in our upstream causes merge conflicts with any of the existing sites created from that upstream that removed or updated a theme. Folks who use this upstream are encouraged to remove or update the themes in their site. This will not be an issue with our Composer-managed upstream.
