@dalin- I agree with this, but Terminus is only pushing forward the messages coming from the API. Do you find the messages attached to the new progress bars useful or do you suppose you could do as well without it?
I like the concept of the progress bar, especially for multi-step commands it's great to get feedback about how things are progressing through the tasks.
The challenge is the usability, it's not clear what this means:

This was also very confusing for us. We requested that only the database be backed up but the on-screen text (i.e. Export code, files and database from "dev"
) makes it look like more than just the DB is being worked on during the display of the progress bar.
I can confirm on the Pantheon dashboard that only the DB is backing up, so the on-screen message appears inaccurate:
