[ LOPS-2232 ] Disable linux build #2576

We observed that the packages for linux are woefully out of date and the service we're using for them now charges for usage. We also observed that nobody had installed the linux package for over a year so we're deprecating the linux build.

Agree, it does. There isn't a ticket.

We observed that linux packages haven't been published for many recent versions because the packagecloud repository for them is "full" without a plan upgrade. Tom observed that there apparently haven't been any installs of the linux packages for a long time and proposed we stop shipping them.
