Within the Classify module, we already limit the species list in the edit panel to those within the region the data comes from. This is particularly useful, since there are over 600 species registered within IDS now.
We should also do this within the “Map species names” button/modal within the Historical Data Import module for easier re-mapping. At this point, the user has already loaded in their tabulated data sheet, which contains X and Y coords for their data, so we should be able to determine their region based on this? Otherwise they’ll have to specify this somehow in the modal itself.
