DV-507 ⁃ Investigate ability to filter by season in Descriptive Statistics (Relative Abundance plot) #465

In Descriptive Statistics, specifically in the Relative Abundance plot, we give users the ability to filter by species and by station. Yosette suggested that it would be useful to their project to be able filter by specific seasons in their region. For example: (please see Yosette example)

For example, in our project we place camera traps in canopy, forest and drainage (for this we have identified the seasons that correspond to each one) and we would like to know the relative abundance for "x" species in each different site but visualize it in the same graph , since I can see this but separately and for reporting purposes it would be important to visualize a graph with the relative abundance of "x" species in the stations that correspond to "canopy, forest and drainage".

This task is set to low priority for now, but I am able to reach out to Yosette show we need more information.

Note- I don’t think “season” actually means season here… I think it is a bad direct translation. Because the examples she gives are “Forest”, “Drainage” (aka ravine), and “Canopy”, which are not seasons.

We will need more clarity on this before proceeding
