if the app never logs out/shuts down, it will never update. So the automatic timeout is essential for auto-updating the app.

Able to fetch (pull/push) data now, and goes hand in hand with a new app protocol that the lodges need to implement- including how to log in, how to add sightings, how to approach synching.
