Regarding using older version of GO for enrichment #7

I had been working on the organism Oryza sativa with the following versions:

Analysis Type: PANTHER Overrepresentation Test (Released 20181113) Annotation Version and Release Date: GO Ontology database Released 2018-12-01 Analyzed List: upload_1 (Oryza sativa) Reference List: Oryza sativa (all genes in database) Test Type: FISHER Correction: BONFERRONI Bonferroni count: 1533

Now the GO Ontology database version are changed. Is it possible to use the older version for the overrepresentation test ? It will be very helpful in that case.

Currently, PANTHER does not maintain the monthly GO annotation information. We plan to provide this functionality in the future.

We have a server that points to the last PANTHER library release. It can be accessed via http://panthertest9.med.usc.edu:8089/. This can be used until the next PANTHER library release targeted for ~Dec 2019. Panther and GO annotation will not be updated until the next library release.

NOTE, downloads and ftp information will refer to the newest PANTHER version (http://panthertest9.med.usc.edu:8089/downloads/index.jsp). This also applies to the PANTHER Reference Proteome mapping and sequence scoring.

@mugitty Apologies, I forgot to add context here: this was a question that cam in though our help email system.

@kltm Given the wording, I guessed it was from one of your users.

Not only for GO annotations, but also for PANTHER annotations, we have a number of users who want to access the last release of the PANTHER library. Hence a separate server with the old build and data
