Hi, the same problem here, started some days ago. Was working for a year
without any problem. So, seems that hulu changed something...

Hulu+ has changed its CDNs. They all use SWFVerification type 2 now. Until
RTMPDump is fixed to handle that, there'll be no more ripping videos from Hulu+.

I can confirm that this issue exists for "free" hulu episodes as well - can't
comment on Hulu Plus as I don't have it, but definitely not limited to Hulu
Plus.

Does anyone know if the rtmpdump people are working on this, or even aware of
it?

They are defiantly aware of it, I don't there is any activity though. Maybe now
that the type 1 fallback does not work someone will have to fix it out of
necessity.

Don't hold your breath for a type 2 update. They have known about it for a
long time. Very few are bright enough to figure it out and those that are no
longer want to work on the project. It is probably time to accept that it is
broken for good.

although the video from hulu can not be dumped, the function for subtitles
still worked fine until recently .

could anyone help to update the hulu.pm to get it to work again on subtitles ?
