Just a quick post about what is known about this. If you have a pre-Kaby Lake CPU then there is no way to patch a fix into VMware as Apple dropped support for older CPUs.

The issue is missing AVX 2.0 instructions on those CPUs. https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/issues/998

On other forums you can find information that I'm another user who has a problem with MBP 13.2 and the invisible touch id option. It doesn't matter if it's a pure OCLP 0.5.2 ventura installation or an update. the touch id option is just gone.

Haswell and newer have AVX2.0. The issue is with the configuration of the virtual machine not exposing AVX2.0.
