HTC Desire reboots sporadically

What steps will reproduce the problem?
There are no clear steps. Most likely it will happen when the screen is dark, 
possibly when not seeing any satellites. It can happen after logging from 
10Min-2hours. Within a day of walking (4-6h) it may reboot the phone 2-3 times. 
One time it happened just as I unlocked the screen. 

I have had the same error with several versions of OSMtracker.

Make/model of your device, and Android version?
htc Desire, Android 2.3.5 (Oxygen Mod 2.2.2, Kernel 2.6.35.14-stable)

Hi,

Seems to be a well known problem with the HTC Desire: 
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=htc+desire+reboots

I don't think OSMTracker is the cause, more likely the Desire has an issue with 
either the GPS or Battery management, and because OSMTracker uses the GPS or 
stays in the background for long it triggers the issue.

Unfortunately there's not much I can do :(
