Once you accept the invitation as collaborator, please update the Readme and Code of Conduct with your chapter's information. You will be a repo admin, so add other chapter organizers as appropriate over time.
With abuse and harassment frequently in the news, we hope every new chapter will embrace our mission to foster open and accepting communities -- so please read the Code of Conduct, and let us know if it can be improved (or made more culturally aware).

Welcome aboard.
Thanks so much for the assistance Sean! I will join the slack and the readme etc. etc. before I start publicizing the chapter!

My name is Onorio Catenacci. You can reach me via catenacci@ieee.org or @OldDutchCap on Twitter. I have been running the Detroit Elixir/Erlang meetup for about five years now and I have wanted to branch out into running a PWL chapter here in Detroit for quite some time.
We sort of have a venue; we're going to be running the DetroitTechWatch meetup at Altimetric Collider in Detroit starting September 17. Since DTW is multi-topic/multi-paradigm and I am one of the organizers my plan is to have a meeting of the Detroit PWL chapter as a quarterly meeting of Detroit Tech Watch.
Feel free to contact me if there are any questions/concerns/comments.
