This week I performed user testing with a few students here at the college. I found it helpful to perform a conversation style review with all three users at the same time, and was able to build insight as we discussed the various questions and stages of the flow. With our feedback, we planned on reworking the overall layout of the app, which as UX lead, I will work on later.
I did user testing and picked someone whose age would give us another perspective. I interviewed someone who is in their 80's to see how our app flow would work with someone who is less tech-savvy. Turns out they found it pretty easy to use.
This past week my main task was to performed user testing. I chose a student at Algonquin College for my test subject because students are part of our target demographic. From my observations, I noticed a few usability issues with the design of the prototype. Taking into account the feedback we decided as a team to re-sketch our wireframes before we dive into coding. My job as project manager, one of my tasks each week is to set up the next weeks sprint and milestone. I also made sure that all task from the previous week are completed and closed at the beginning of class.
