cannot enter ! (exlamation mark) on physical keyboard because it is mapped to F1 #670

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open ssh connnection.
2. try to send ! <exclamation mark>, this is needed to end vi sessions with :q!
for example.
3. on all keyboards ! is at the same key as "1" and you need to press shift+1
with in connecbot is permanently wired to F1.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would not hardwire F1 to shift+1.

What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
ver 1.7.1 (ssh-agent-patch)

What type of system are you trying to connect to?
Linux

If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
TERM=xterm
uname=Linux

Please provide any additional information below.

I could not enter any special characters that are on the same keys as numbers.
To enter them you do 'shift'+4 to get the $ for example.
There need to be a way to turn off that shift+1 to get F1.
