paragp / achartengine

AChartEngine is a charting library for Android applications. It currently supports the following chart types: line chart area chart scatter chart time chart bar chart pie chart bubble chart doughnut chart range (high-low) bar chart dial chart / gauge combined (any combination of line, cubic line, scatter, bar, range bar, bubble) chart cubic line chart All the above supported chart types can contain multiple series, can be displayed with the X axis horizontally (default) or vertically and support many other custom features. The charts can be built as a view that can be added to a view group or as an intent, such as it can be used to start an activity. The model and the graphing code is well optimized such as it can handle and display huge number of values. AChartEngine is currently at the 1.0.0 release. New chart types will be added in the following releases. Please keep sending your feedback such as we can continually improve this library. Wrong bar value alignment #307

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just build a bar chart
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect that values of the bar align center but they are in the wrong position

Please provide a source code snippet that we can use to replicate the issue.

      String[] titles = new String[] { "" };
      List<double[]> values = new ArrayList<double[]>();
      values.add(new double[] { 7440, 6826 });
      int[] colors = new int[] { COLOR_ATTUALE, COLOR_VERSATI};
      XYMultipleSeriesRenderer renderer = buildBarRenderer(colors);
      setChartSettings(renderer, "Asset della polizza 0000000103\n\nPROGETTO TRADIZIONALE ANNUO", "", "Euro", 0,
          4.5, 0, 10000, Color.GRAY, Color.LTGRAY);
      renderer.getSeriesRendererAt(0).setDisplayChartValues(true);
      renderer.setXLabels(0);
      renderer.setYLabels(5);
      renderer.setXLabelsAlign(Align.LEFT);
      renderer.setYLabelsAlign(Align.LEFT);
      renderer.setPanEnabled(true, false);
      renderer.setBarSpacing(0.5f);
      return ChartFactory.getColouredBarChartIntent(context, buildBarDataset(titles, values), renderer,
          Type.DEFAULT);

getColouredBarChartIntent is a method i implement to build a barchart that
supports multiple color in only one serie that is a extension of a barchart and
draws the bars over the grid

What version of the product binary library are you using?

1.1.0 RC2

Use XYSeriesRenderer.setChartValuesTextAlign() to tweak this.

setChartValuesTextAlign() doesn't works for me with bar charts... and looking
around the web, it doesn't seems to be working for anyone: I cannot see a
single example where the values get centered. In fact, I see lots of examples
where setChartValuesTextAlign(Alig.CENTER) is set but the images illustrating
the example show the values always to the right.

Surprise but, this is working to move your bar value at centre.
Renderer.setChartValuesTextAlign(Align.RIGHT);
