Unable to load acq0000.vff in 2.5.0-a22 #13

Recent changes to MicroView make every image act like it is a DICOM image under the hood. This helps facilitate conversion between image formats. A bug, however, in this code prevents the loading of certain single-slice vff files.

Recent DICOM-compatibility layer code doesn't work in some instances - fixed in head branch.
