Suggested structure from @sbfnk as follows:

Background
Models (within this section number of methods + summarising them in a table or schematic may make it clearer what is going on and how methods relate to each other).
Applications
Evaluation

Sounds good. I thought it would also be a good idea to write a summary in each section (including results) like the Gostic et al. paper to give an overview. I think I did it for one section... will get to others soon... been really busy this week with preparing for various meetings..
