Steps to create a Pull Request

Issue Description

What are the detailed steps to create a Pull Request?

What I tried:

• forked the repository
• changed my local files
• tried to commit the two files, it failed as below.

(In all fairness, I did search around on how to do this, found nothing).

Steps to reproduce

Clone the project, try to make a commit in your personal clone, get this error: $git commit -m "Add SecureEncoder support to PFFileObject" . error: 'Vendor/xctoolchain' does not have a commit checked out

Actual Outcome

fatal: updating files failed

Expected Outcome

commit succeeded
