5 years ago Update: JSON extract of XYZ cases returns several entries with IDs, country data, date of submission, but no title. these cases appear to be those entered through the Deutsch/German interface and/or using the translation feature on .net
I have tried to keep track of everything that did/did not make it over to XYZ during the automated transfer in March 2018 in this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QVfhEBZamLwwdm7aG5ALgUkXiZGHSInwovwtxjSHWyk/edit?usp=sharing (see tab CTU - the ones in yellow are either translations or non-English entries, the ones with the note “TRANSLATION - DID NOT TRANSFER” are, well, translations that did not transfer.) I'm happy to do this work manually, I just need to know how to do it 1) in the case of translations (I assume I would just use the new 'Translate' feature and copy-and-paste it), and 2) in the case of entries originally submitted in another language but which are now on the English version of XYZ.
However, there appears to be a difference in URLs which could complicate things. Take this case as an example. I found it by searching .net for "New Mexico". However, if you go to the English version (the 'source' or 'original' version) of the case, click on the Translate tab, and then click on the German translation, you are transported to this entry which is, seemingly, the same as the first one reached via search except for the fact that it has a different URL.
I'm not sure if there are other entries that used the German editing interface (accessed by selecting 'create content' > add a case > selecting 'German' from the 'Language' drop-down menu) but which were not translations. (Actually I'm aware of one case like that, but I think it was a matter of the author rushing and accidentally selecting 'German' under 'Language'. I seem to recall re-entering the case and deleting the Deutsch version). I seem to recall from that debacle that you aren't able to access an English version of an entry if it's entered using the German editing interface. ie. if the submitter chooses 'German' from the 'Language' drop-down, that's it. it's German, period. The same doesn't hold true for English cases, though, hence the dual-URLs for some entries (see NOTES 2 & 3 below).
NOTE 1: entries published with URLs ending in .net/de are different from cases that have other 'Content Languages' (selections include: Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German) which end up being published through/on the English editing/reading interface and thus transferred over either as part of the automated transfer in March 2018, or manually by the original submitter or one of the editing team.
NOTE 2: looking through all the URLs associated with the participedia.net domain on Google Analytics, some entries have an English and a German URL, while others don't. For example, the organization entry on Anonymous has a URL for the English version and the German version but it wasn't translated. I assume that these URLs are being added by Google Analytics to the list of those associated with the ppedia.net domain when someone accesses a page on the German interface. In other words, ever entry could have a .net/de equivalent; they don't because they haven't (yet) been accessed by someone using the Deutsch version of the site.
NOTE 3: there seems to be two different versions of German URLs for cases and organizations, and I can't figure out why.
NOTE 4: there are also several variations of English URLs which I won't get into here because this doesn't seem to have affected the automatic transfer. However, it might be worth investigating because it's different from the change in URL that comes with a change in title. For example, this case has the following URLs:
