Thumbnail maps often don't load on Case pages #317

not sure why we don't seem to have a map for venezuela.

Still an issue as of today. None loading on case reader.

Chrome - Version 62.0.3202.94 (Official Build) (64-bit)

May have been a problem with Chrome v. 62, Jesi upgraded to 63 and sees maps now, as do I and David. I see them in latest Firefox too.

@dethe does this mean there's nothing we can do to make it work on old browsers? Maybe we should change the error message to prompt people to update their browsers if the maps don't work, would that be weird?

we can probably test with chrome 62, see if that was actually the problem.

It worked with older browsers, AFAIK, so I suspect it was just the one version that broke things, but I agree with David that we should test more. We could probably do something more useful with the error message once we're sure what the problem is.

Still getting error message "Error loading map for Canada" on this case - https://participedia.xyz/case/5 as of today.

@dethe I noticed you posted about this in slack the other day. If it's still not fixed, is there any way to just hide it or remove it for now? Maybe we can re-integrate it in a site update down the road. I think the main thing is it LOOKS broken, so hiding it might be the best easy fix for now.

By "it" I mean the map icon feature on cases site-wide.
