Request: Brief Description Text Entry Behaviour

It's very difficult to draft a 280-character description when there's a hard cap on 280-characters. I've been having to use Twitter to draft the description because it allows you to go over 280 and then cut back. Request: copy the Twitter text box which shows you how many characters you have left and then how many you are over. If user is over the limit when they press publish, they would get an error sign/message until they made the brief description shorter

I also have the same type of feedback for the Specific Topics field - I'll copy and paste it here from the Google Doc I've been using to keep track of the feedback I have on xyz as I get more familiar with it:

• Unwieldy list - I find I get half-way through having already selected 3 and then come across another relevant topic. I then have to go through and deselect one or two so that the top selection (1) isn’t automatically replaced by the new selection.
• Is it possible for the user to select as many as they want and then rank order them? That way they could go through the whole list without having to think about ranking and what’s actually applicable to their case. (It’s hard to think of both - if they could narrow it down to a list of, say 7-10 and then rank from those, we’d probably get more accurate data.) We could change the instructional text to read something like “only the top 3 selections will be saved”

This is also a task for Pat and I - we probably need to 'prune' the list a bit but having the ability to select more and then rank the final 3 would be helpful regardless.
