This is also an issue in Chrome, however, the impact doesn't seem that big.
I can only see a little change. If not logged in, firefox eats 40% of one CPU und if logged in, firefox utilizes 100% of one CPU core.
Can you double-check against demo.partkeepr.org ? On my machine, Firefox is mostly idle.
demo.partkeppr.org is now much better. It consumes now between 15 and 30 % of a single CPU. The system is much more reactive than before. It is not perfect, but much better than before. The question is now, why is my installation so slow? I checked out the master from the repo yesterday.

Update it. probably you don't have the latest version. Don't forget to do a "phing build".

Visiting demo.partkeepr.org using Firefox results in a constant CPU usage of that browser - on my box (ThinkPad T420s, Core i5 dual-core) Firefox eats 30% CPU usage constantly.
