I've got the same motherboard, same CPU. I'm working on my first OpenCore build.

I've run the OCBuilder. It produced a folder. I've run the Mac tools to build USB drive. I have drive formatted and called "Install macOS catalina"

I get I have to copy stuff from EFI folder into into what was build from OCBuilder (config.plist to EFI/OC folder). And I have to place this updated EFI folder on the EFI partitions of USB drive.

Is that all that should be necessary to make a bootable USB drive?

I'm asking because it's unclear reading thru OpenCore guides and what you have here, what gets handled by OCBuilder and what you've already handled in terms of steps done. (My first attempt did not end up with bootable USB drive...but I may have missed something... I'm trying again right now.)

Just as a hint - start here: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/

I did. The problem is, it doesn’t talk about OCbuilder. It mentions some additional processing steps, etc. That’s why I was asking. It’s unclear what steps are already done here.

Sorry, can't help with that as I never used OCbuilder. My tip: Just follow dortania and learn from the ground up.

Ok, now I’m confused. The link for it is in your instructions.

I’ve read a bunch of it. But I’m trying to see if I can at least start from your config.pliant, DSDT and SSDT files.

I'm not author of this repo. Just wanted to give you a quick hint in the right direction.

Oh! Sorry, thought I was speaking to author. I’m going to give it a try assuming files are good to go.
