Improve GUI #25

Gui is almost unusable under android. I think it should be possible to keep almost all functionality without having a menu bar (some special options could be dropped on android). This requires some modifications of the current GUI, probably desktop version will also benefit from this.

I think it is easier to write a new app for Android rather than make this one compatible. However I have no time and no experience to do this.
