Cherry MX ULP switches are compatible with Kailh PG1316S keycaps #13

There are commercially available keycaps for the Kailh PG1316S which are perfectly compatible with the Cherry MX ULP. I have both switches and tested the keycaps on both. They fit perfectly.

I got them from holykeebs here. I'm not affiliated to them in any way, except that I bought from them. I wasn't able to find other vendors at this time.

This might be worth mentioning in the keycaps section.

Seems like the PG1316S is a clone of the Cherry ULP? That switch deserves a mention on the Readme

Also note there is a 3D printed keycaps project for PG1316S, maybe also compatible with ULP?: https://www.reddit.com/r/ErgoMechKeyboards/comments/1gcibfw/custom_keycaps_for_the_ultralow_kailh_pg1316s/

They clearly serve the same purpose, but they're not an exact clone. They have the same size and height. The top part is also pretty much identical, which is why the keycaps are compatible. However, there are some differences:

The Kailh ones are also slightly lighter, but that's not relevant to compatibility.

I haven't actually designed a PCB yet, this is gonna be my first one 🙂 So it's impossible for me to judge if a PCB could be designed that's compatible with both.

I strongly suspect any keycaps for either one of these is going to be perfectly compatible with the other. They look identical on the top, probably intentionally designed that way.

Note it seems there are at least two different weights (if you mean actuation force) for PG1316S: https://www.reddit.com/r/olkb/comments/1djruze/comment/l9cs3mk/
