Doesn't work with DUO #3

ISSUE NAME

What you did

Running the Passbolt Pro OVA with DUO MFA. There is currently no way for us to log in to passbolt on iOS. When logging in I get an authentication error.

We've tried turning on and enabling TOTP as a fallback MFA, but we still get authorization errors when trying to login to passbolt.

In Safari, we get a "browser not supported" error that points us to Chrome/Firefox/etc. Currently, because of the iOS mandate that 3rd party browsers use the Safari rendering engine, Chrome/Firefox apps still present the same error. This is potentially changing in the future (https://9to5mac.com/2023/02/07/new-iphone-browsers/), but for now, we can't log in on iOS in the app or browser.

What happened

iOS users get a "Session authorization failed." error because of a DUO version incompatibility. However, fallback MFA methods don't seem to help either.

What you expected to happen

iOS users should be able to log in to Passbolt.

Hi cvocvo,

Thank you for your message, and I apologize for the extended wait. Your issues are currently under development because they are related to a recent feature we intend to include in the upcoming Passbolt iOS app release. I can confidently say that it will be available with the 1.16.x app release. We anticipate this release to be available soon (although I can't provide a more specific date, unfortunately), we are awaiting an official announcement for the release date.

Regarding the Safari issue, as far as I know, it is not connected to the mobile platform. You can find the latest discussions on this topic in the following thread: Safari Plugins Support.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Ideally both problems would be fixed, plenty of other password managers like LastPass have Safari integration in iOS.

password managers like LastPass have Safari integration in iOS.

We do support password filling in mobile Safari, which is actually a core feature of Passbolt iOS application. You might be experiencing an issue with DUO MFA until the release of version 1.16.0, but autofill should work seamlessly after that. The link I mentioned earlier pertains to the Safari Browser on Mac devices, and it depends on the browser extension team; therefore, it is not a part of this repository.
