The icons of the apps running on my second monitor are always shown on the taskbar of the active workspace on the workspaces-to-dock dock , and if I switch to other workspaces on the dock these same icons move to the workspace I choose.
Note that I've set the option "workspaces on primary display only" on gnome, so that changing workspace on the primary display doesn't affect the workspace on my secondary monitor.
But since I'm running many different programs on my second monitor the taskbar of the active workspace on workspaces-to-dock get clogged by icons of applications that are not even relevant solely to that workspace.
Being able to hide the icons of the applications running on the secondary screen would help me to keep the taskbar of workspaces-to-dock's active workspace usable.
A setting "Isolate monitors" like in dash-to-dock would solve this problem.
I really hope that my description is clear enough to describe the problem.
Steps to reproduce the problem
connect a second screen and join the display to the first one (not mirror)
select "Primary Monitor" on "Show the dock on the following monitor (if attached)" in the "General" tab of workspaces-to-dock preferences
tick "show workspace taskbar (apps)" in "caption items" under the "Thumbnails" tab of workspaces-to-dock preferences.
select "show workspace taskbar (apps)" in "caption items" under the "Thumbnails" tab of workspaces-to-dock preferences.
run some programs on the second screen and watch all their icons appear on the taskbar of any active workspace selected on workspaces-to-dock on the primary monitor
