+1 for some argument options in quicksynergy
you can accomplish this by doing "synergys -c ~/.quicksynergy/synergy.conf"
it doesnt run quicksynergy though
you have to kill synergys to use quicksynergy
i use quicksynergy for the config change and then reload synergys
maybe just a button to kill synergys in the app?
most of the time i dont change anything and this works...but i interchange 2
laptops nexto my work computer so i have to change every now and then

+1 for that!
Should be noted that it must be at least 2 options: one for executing as Client
and the other as Server/Host. My suggestions:
quicksynergy --execute-client
quicksynergy --execute-server
Each would start QuickSynergy minimized in tray and run its respective Execute
command (Share or Use tab) with the default (previouly configured) options.
The hint about synergys is great, but this way you lose the GUI :(

Side note: the suggested command "synergys -c ~/.quicksynergy/synergy.conf"
is for to use as server. To use as client, the equivalent comand is:
synergyc -f --name <client screen name> <server IP address>
<client screen name> can be any name (as long as server is properly
configured), and it defaults to client hostname

Hi all! If someone is still interested in this, i made a small hacky patch.
Apply it to src/main.c.
If the '--silent' is option is specified in commandline, 'clicked' signals
would be emmitted to both 'start' and 'close' buttons right after main window
appearance.
