brew install sphinx --with-mysql

don't solve my problem I don't know what I can do about this. :(

mysql --version
mysql  Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.6.41, for osx10.13 (x86_64) using  EditLine wrapper

I solved my problem installing old version of sphinx
