Some diagrams are misleading #57

Hi, I don't quite like the use of \gtab{G7}{3:020100} as it can be confused with \gtab{G7}{050400}. Displaying the 3rd position is a good idea but I'd like to make a «barré» appear in addition to the position indication. Is there some docs about gtab for me to try this ? Or maybe someone already knows how to do this ?

According to the documentation (http://songs.sourceforge.net/songsdoc/songs.html#mac.gtab), there doesn't seem to be any possibility within the song package.

I wrote an email to the author. If no answer or not possible, I may rework all this kind of diagrams to explicitly indicate a black dot at the right place instead of a white one (open string only to me). Would you agree?

Good news from the author of the songs package:

I haven't thought about barre chords, but that's a great idea for an addition to the package. I happen to be working on the \gtab code right now and will add it.

I'll keep you updated.

Excellentes nouvelles ça ! On en parlait dans patacrep/patacrep#249 il y a quelque temps, je suis bien content de voir qu'une solution se profile.

The new songs.sty is in a PR here: https://github.com/patacrep/patacrep/pull/256
We may leave this issue open until all «barrés» are fixed. Usage:

\gtab{F}{(133211)}
\gtab{G}{3:(133211)}
\gtab{F}{1332(11):P3421}
\gtab{G}{3:1332(11):P3421}
