Meeting: 27th & 29th February 2024 -- Virtual #19

The Private Advertising Technology CG is having a meeting on February 27th and 29th (in some timezones). The meeting will start at 1000 AEST (next day) / 0700 Singapore (next day) / 0000 CEST (next day) / 2300 GMT / 2300 UTC / 1800 EDT / 1500 PDT. The duration will be 3 hours each day. A repo for this meeting has been created where the agenda, presentations, minutes, etc. will be published. The agenda is being developed now in the meetings repo. The patcg meeting calendar [has also been/will also be] updated to reflect the meeting time. The Zoom details [are/will be] available via the patcg meeting calendar and this meeting's repo.

  1. There is a calendar issue with the two-day meetings later this month.

a. I show invites from the PATWG (I didn’t enter them – they came from an invite somewhere) for Feb 28 and Feb 29 12-3PT. But on the W3 Calendar page - https://www.w3.org/groups/cg/patcg/calendar/ - it shows Feb 27 and Feb 29. I remember strongly that we said Feb 28 and Feb 29, so I think this is an artifact of the way it was scheduled on the W3C calendar. Please confirm the correct dates.

b. Feb 27 is the first day of RampUp, the biggest adtech schmoozefest other than the IAB Annual Leadership Meetings. It runs Feb 27 - 29. If the meeting is on the 27th, that is a very bad day as anyone who is anyone in the adTech space will be there. Feb 28 afternoon isn’t great either, but better than Feb 27. That’s another reason I thought we scheduled for Feb 28/Feb 29, not Feb 27/29.

Please confirm the dates and perhaps reissue the invite?

There's a W3C calendar entry for each day of the meeting.

The 1st day of the meeting next week is 27 February 2024 18:00–21:00 Eastern Standard Time; for PT, that's 27 February 2024 1500-1900. NOTE: I also see a second time in the W3C calendar "Local: 28 February 2024, 01:00–04:00 Eastern European Standard Time", because that the time zone I am currently in.

The 2nd day of the meeting is Feb 29th in some timezones and March 1st is other timezones; see the meeting's repo.

As far as RampUp, I looked in my email and the GH repos and didn't see any mention of it. This is an unfortunate clash and one we should avoid going forward.
