Autotagging not working in my self-hosted instance?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a task with an existing tag in the text of the title
2. No tag autocreated
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
An auto-created tag next to the title of the task. Instead I see no tags.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
browser? Version 1.4.2. O/S is Centos 5, Doesn't seem to work on any browser 
(although I'm testing on Firefox 8 and various versions of IE)

Please provide any additional information below.
