What version of Chrome are you using? On what operating system?
35.0.1916.153 // Windows 7 Ultimate x64

What client (version?) are you connecting to? Are you using SSL?
ruTorrent v3.6 // no SSL

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on .torrent link (website irrelevant)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Notification/popup appears and torrent begins downloading // No 
notification/popup appears and torrent begins downloading

Hi,

Console log when I try to use the notification test from options:

"Uncaught ReferenceError: webkitNotifications is not defined options.js:208"

It's probably related with the depreacted notifications api. I found some info 
at https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/notifications
