Grouping Mechanism to connect multiple quick starts and create learning paths #37

Open jessiehuff opened 3 years ago

jessiehuff commented 3 years ago

It would make sense to explore how we can order and group quick starts into different potential learning paths. For example, three quick starts could make up a course and create structured groupings. (Would be interesting to explore how we can create loose groupings as well.)

There was an OpenShift issue opened on this as well.

Some exploration has been done on this topic in this doc.

I think this issue needs more design work before proceeding on the dev side.

@mceledonia Can you update this issue when you have some progress? :)

Michael's grouping designs that are ready to be implemented unless there's additional feedback! https://marvelapp.com/prototype/15fce1jj/screen/82148968

Gauging interest from product

matthewcarleton commented 2 years ago

Is there any update on this effort? I've had a request for this come in recently.

jessiehuff commented 2 years ago

Definitely good to know @matthewcarleton!! We started the exploration of this in this PR, and I think that the current designs are here if you want to take a look. We've been focusing on extensions documentation lately, but I'd like us to start working on this again soon. Do you have a deadline for the requests you've gotten?

thanks @jessiehuff We are looking at what a learning path could look like for a multicluster use case for on prem users. It's not an immediate need, do we have any kind of timeline for when this feature might be ready? FYI @alimobrem
