Nodes in demo app no longer scale down to show status background at low scale. #124

Describe the problem When the user zooms out, nodes in the demo app are supposed to hide details and just show the background indicating status if there is status on the node.

How do you reproduce the problem? Run the demo app and zoom out

Expected behavior Nodes show as only circles with a status background if status is turned on.
