access to OctoPrint on separate computer #41

Hello, I would first like to say thank you for the work on the installer. It made installing OctoPrint on my old Viao very easy. My question is how can I access the OctoPrint from another computer on my network? I would like to be able to send and monitor from my Mac.

You have to connect to OctoPrint browser using either the hostname or ip address of the OctoPrint server you setup. Example: http://ipaddress:5001 for the first instance.

I can't find the IP address of the server and the name doesn't work. Any help?

Need more information. What linux distro did you install? Are you doing everything on the Viao right now, or are you ssh'ing into it? What is the output of the terminal command hostname and ifconfig? If you join the Discord server listed in the README it might be easier to provide this kind of support.

I'm really sorry. I'm not trying to be dense. I get an "invite invalid" error when I click on the Discord link in the readme. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Is there another way to search you on discord?

Nope, and multiple people have joined in the last day, so it isn't something on this end.
