Enhancement: Calendar pops up when click on the text field #116

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Right now, the calendar only pops up when the icon is clicked.  It will be nice 
to have an option 
for calendar to pop up when text field is being clicked.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.10.5
Safari / Firefox 
Mac OSX

This would be a nice feature to have, especially if the calendar plugin is set 
to
:popup => "force".

Any plans on implementing something like this?

I can certainly appreciate the extra dimension of utility the the text field 
receives, but have the following 
concerns:

* For a keyboard cowboy, it may not be obvious that they have the option of 
using a date picker.  If they are 
tabbing through a form, they will not get a date picker.  If they do get a date 
picker, 
* I could see the datepickers appearing on focus as being a nuisance.

If you'd like to fork and prove the concept, go for it :)
