Users could get notifications - maybe a little red dot in top right hand corner of page (maybe on a notification icon) when somebody likes a track they requested \ votes to skip a track they requested or comments on a track they requested, clicking the icon opens a popup with the notification message

Went with HTML 5 notifications - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/API/notification to notify the user when one of their tracks are liked
