I've been using this demo since 2015 to teach my students about Spring Boot and Microservices in general. Thanks Paul so much for the original demo.
What I've prepared as a token of gratitude (and a whole lotta covid-19 me time), is an enhanced version of Paul's Microservices Demo. Consider it a major facelift. It includes many aspects which makes the original demo more production ready and a little more 'Springy` in spirit.
My version v2.2.0 (Aug 2021) corresponds to Spring Boot 2.5.3 and Spring Cloud 2020.0.3 release train.
The application was developed and built with OpenJdk 16.0.1
Consider this a modernized demo with the latest Spring Boot / Cloud versions, many integration and unit tests and a bit more production like features which make the application more 'Springy' in nature. Not to mention --- bug fixes (little but annoying - like all bugs).
There's extensive documentation, including a new DOCKERIZE.md which uses jib-maven-plugin to dockerize the demo.
The complete change-log is recorded in the README.md in my fork

Please consider merging it to the main branch.
