src is missing.. #7

hey there! I came across a forum post that mentioned this example but noticed that the src folder is missing.

what sample would that be? Could you give me the link to that post?

hey Paul,

the sample is your fasttrails sample. I came across it while searching through the old forum and found this post https://forum.libcinder.org/topic/beginner-questions-for-light-painting-drawing-style where you mentioned the sample.

Thanks, I've updated the link in that post to point to the v0.8.6 branch.

thanks for looking into that!

sorry for the confusion, but I meant that the source code for the fasttrails project seems to be missing.. the xcode project file is there but it says the source code is missing when trying to build and run.

the other projects in the samples folder have the source code in the "src" directory but that directory seems to be missing in the fasttrails project. forgive me if I just missed something simple. thank you again for your time.

Ah OK, that makes sense. The samples have been Windows only for a very long time (I hardly use Xcode myself) and even now most don't have proper XCode projects. If you have some experience with XCode, it should not be hard to get them working by adding the missing files yourself. But I understand that this isn't great if you're still learning, and these samples are meant to be used by beginning Cinder programmers. The FastTrails sample has been removed from the master branch because I did not like it much. It's still in the v0.8.6 branch (Windows only).
