Newest csipsimple version doesn't work with Sipgate & ICS. #1996

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

The newest csipsimple version (2012-09-19) from Google Play doesn't work
anymore.
csipsimple is unusable and crashes.

There is an error message: "Selected Network route not allowed with current
settings you have setup"

In Google Play store some new quotes describe the problem, too.

The version that I have used before are described here:
http://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/issues/detail?id=1915

These have working fine with disabled STUN (in WLAN and mobile networks).

Thank you.

Same here. It used to work fine, but stopped working with PlanetPhone. I got
the same message as described above. Works well with other SIP clients. Pity as
the program was good, but is now useless.

Still not working properly. Any suggestions for a resolution? I'm using SIP
only for outbound calls. They are allowed on all networks. It registers fine
but if any number is dialed I get the message above. 3Cxphone works fine with
the same settings.

Can you collect logs.
@iskren : logs you sent doesn't contains the file. (often happens if your email
app drop the email attachements).

You can also try with latest nightly build version :
http://nightlies.csipsimple.com/trunk/CSipSimple-latest-trunk.apk
(I advise you to uninstall and reinstall the app with the above link)

Have some things fixed. Nothing specific for this issue that I was unable to
reproduce (and I tried a lot), but maybe it's a side effect of something fixed
meanwhile.

Thank for your reply. The new version does not show any error message,
neither does it dial the number. When I tap the dial icon, nothing happens.

I could not get your this program to send or store the logs. I only got
Share option, which allows for several programs, but not to store locally.
Google drive failed. I went further and transmitted the file over Bluetooth
to another device. Guess what, it was empty (0 bytes). This is probably the
reason why the attachment was missing, otherwise attachment control is
turned off on the device and I tested sending another txt file to myself.

I tried reconfiguring the account both with the default provider profile in
cSIP and with the settings as given on my provider's web site. Still
couldn't get it to work. It's pity as this program has the best native
dialer integration, but I'll have to go to Zoiper or 3CXphone.

Thanks for your help. If you have e any idea what could be the cause or if
there's anything else that I can do to help you out, please lt me know.

I see this problem too. Have just e-mailed you a log of a failed attempt to
make a call, with a segmentation violation in CSipSimple code clearly visible.

The issue was actually with another provider, but error message was the same.
It seems to be working with standart version now. I believe it got fixed after
I flashed antoher ROM, but it could have been a cSipSimple update. Anyway,
currently using it for my calls on 3g and wifi without any issues.

Sorry for not getting back earlier on this. I can verify that the issue was
fixed about 3 months ago and the program is now working quite well on my
Android JB 4.2 device.
