USB error connection #4

Hi, i cant connect to the meter, i have bought an USB irDA infrared adapter, 
seems im doing something wrong with ports COM1 or so, or maybe with commands 
can you light me on this?

win7 x86, i have no serial ports, only USB

i get the same error off and on and cant figure out why.. any help would be

I've just had the same error the first time I tried to connect (well, test my 
interface). On my BT5r3 install, if you set the connection incorrectly you need 
to exit termineter and unplug the interface and reconnect before trying again. 
Use dmesg to get the interface instance - mine was /dev/ttyUSB0. I don't know 
about windows though.

Also, I note from the Black Hat video I watched (for the first time a couple of 
days ago) that there may be issues with home made interfaces. I originally used 
the op-amp based design from the net that did actually work ok but I needed a 
USB interface so I designed my own and it works perfectly with UK IEEE62056-21 
meters. Cost to build was about £30 I think. If Spencer would like the design 
I can dig it out.

i have also the same problema, i'm running termineter from my kali-linux 
distro, i'm sure about setting the connection, in my case it's /dev/ttyUSB0, 
but, however, when i try to connect i get the same error message, i've tried 
with different optical usb interfaces without any positive results. I need some 
body to help me please...
